*Saturday, April 4th, 1 to 3 p.m. at the Pagoda Berks Bards joins with the Pagoda Writers to present a poetry writing workshop with Patrick and Marilyn Klimcho, 98 Duryea Drive in Reading.
*Tuesday, April 7th, 6-7:30 p.m. at the Schuylkill Valley Community Library enjoy an open mic hosted by Rachel Degler, 1310 Washington Road in Leesport.
*Wednesday, April 8th, 6-8 p.m. at Reading Area Community College, meet poet Hiram Larew at the Raven's Lounge in the Student Union building, 10 s 2nd Street in Reading.
*Thursday, April 9th at 3:15 p.m., Heather H. Thomas leads a poetry workshop with the Young Artists Club at the Muhlenberg Community Library, 3612 Kutztown Road, Reading.
*Monday, April 13th at 6:30 p.m. meet Lester Hirsh at the Hamburg Public Library for a poetry workshop and open mic, 35 N. 3rd Street in Hamburg.
*Tuesday, April 14th 6 p.m. join Bee HiveQueen After Hours at Cafe Bold in West Reading, 550 Penn Ave. for the launch of a new monthly open mic series on Second Tuesdays. Food and beverages will be available.
*Thursday, April 16th at 7-8:30 p.m. enjoy featured poet Jennifer Gittings-Dalton at the Adamstown Area Library, 3000 N. Reading Road (Route 272) in Adamstown for a reading and an open mic.
*Saturday, April 18th, 1 to 3 p.m. at The Gathering Place Cafe, 8490 Lancaster Avenue in Bethel is an Anabaptist poetry reading hosted by Theresa Rodriguez.
*Wednesday, April 22nd hear Pennsylvania Poets Laureate from across the state reading at the Capitol Rotunda, N. 3rd & State Street in Harrisburg, 11 a.m. to 1p.m.
*Thursday, April 23rd meet Berks County's current Poet Laureate at the Wyomissing Public Library, 9 Reading Blvd. in Wyomissing for a poetry workshop at 1:30 to 3 p.m.
*Thursday May 7th, wind up the month at First Thursday featuring Theresa Rodriquez followed by an open mic at the GoggleWorks Cafe 6-8 p.m.
